This statue is made by slip-casting. Liquid clay, or slip, is poured into a plaster mold and allowed to harden enough to coat the walls of the mold. Then the excess is poured out, creating a thin-walled (7mm.), hollow form. When the plaster dries out, the figurine is sandpapered and treated with plaster paint. Made in Turkmenistan.
