An Interview with the Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation: We know Mr. Durdy Bayramov as a great artist and photographer. Now, there is the newly established Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation in Toronto. We believe that Telve readers and the Canadian Turkish community would be happy to know more about Mr. Bayramov.
Durdy Bayramov Art Exhibition: Curated by Durdy’s daughter Keya Bayramov as well as Leanne Simaan, this is the first time Bayramov’s work has been exhibited in Canada. Funds raised through the sale of prints at the exhibition will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society to support the fight against cancer.
Durdy Bayramov: My life belongs to art and art belongs to the people: The poppies of the foothills of Ashgabat blossom within Durdy Bayramov’s canvases. He has captured the essence of children and adults caught in the act of playing, pondering and creating. It is hard to believe that Bayramov is no longer with us.
Through the Eyes of Durdy Bayramov: Turkmen Village Life, 1960s-80s: Last month the Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation featured an exhibition entitled Through the Eyes of Durdy Bayramov: Turkmen Village Life, 1960s-80s. This exhibition featured culturally and historically significant black-and-white photographs of village life in Turkmenistan from the personal archive of acclaimed Eurasian artist Durdy Bayramov.
Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation: The newly founded Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to making visual arts accessible and affordable for a wide range of audiences through education outreach programs and scholarship awards.
